Welcome!

I am Tim Bolender and located in Aachen, Germany, Central Europe. In early age, I got into contact with computers and fell in love after learning how to program. Some years and many programming languages later, I finished my Master’s degree in Computer Science at RWTH Aachen. During my studies, I discovered many facets of this field such as Embedded System, AI and ML, Data Mining, and Operation Research. Finally, I specialized in Software Engineering with additional courses in Business Administration. Today, I am working as a Technical Product Manager at AISLER where I coordinate the development of our platform to ensure that it serves our customers and partners.

I have developed software in private, academia, and professional context with a variety of tools and languages. Quickly I discovered that the real challenge often lies beyond the technical challenge at hand. Is this implementation fulfilling the feature request? Does the user want it that way? And how can we architect everything together to support future changes? Moreover: How can we achieve this together, not only as a lone fighter? I see Software Engineering as the art to bring all this together with the craftsmanship of programming.

This page is a place for my projects, but also for notes and thoughts I make over time. Some will be larger and broader contributions while others might concern small technical details I stumbled over.
